Red jasper belongs to the large family of jaspers. Jasper is a sedimentary rock composed mainly of silica. In nature, it is a mineral that is found in abundance and comes in a large number of varieties and colors. It is made up of an intermingled network of quartz crystals, and is usually identified by its opacity and the presence of colored veins that come from the compact aggregation of different materials.
Tumbled stones are fragments of rock polished generally in a natural way (usually in the water currents). Their shapes are usually more or less rounded without edges and with a smooth surface, due to the wear suffered by erosive processes.
