This plant which belongs to the fern family is found very commonly in the northern hemisphere. It has been widely used since antiquity, primarily urinary problems. It helps eliminate fluids and decreases the risk of infection therefore improving the production of urine.
The plant is considered to replenish minerals in the body. Among other components containing silicon a mineral used in the formation of hair, nails and other body tissues. It also contains potassium, magnesium, manganese and aluminum.
