Babassu oil is considered a treasure of the Amazon for skin and hair. This oil comes from a type of palm whose seeds yield a clear and yellowish oil by means of pressure.
This oil is liquid at or above 24 degrees, and solidifies in cold places generating a kind of paste. Even when in this more solid state, babassu oil becomes liquid when it comes into contact with the skin.
