The Abalone shell is used ancestrally by Native Americans in their purification rituals and connection with the sea and the land.
The abalone is a type of gastropod mollusk (Haliotis Iris Paua) also called abalone. The shell of this mollusk is rocky and gray on the outside with an oval shape, in a spiral of two or three turns; and it is brilliant pearlescent and with beautiful colors inside.
Use: In addition to its beautiful colors for decorative purposes such as jewelry, this shell is ideal for burning sage, palo santo, yerba santa or other natural incense. It is also traditionally used as a protection amulet.
